Our Building
Revenue house No.17/25 was built in 1861 by architect E.P. Dmitrevsky for the merchant of the 3rd guild, Turanov.
The house was enlarged in 1878 and a fourth floor was added to it according to the design of civil engineer A. Bertels. Its facades were decorated with fine, jewel-like stucco work. It also preserved wooden gate sashes, reminiscent of the old St. Petersburg way of life and order.

History and culture
Within 5 minutes of the apartments is the educational theater "On Mokhovaya," the St. Petersburg dramatic theater whose troupe includes students of the Russian State Institute of Stage Arts. It is located in the building of the former Tenishev School. Among the graduates of the school are writers V. Nabokov, O. Mandelstam, O. Volkov, full members of the Academy of Sciences V. Zhirmunsky, E. Krepe, D. Nalivkin, D. Skobeltsin, organist I. Braudo and many others.
